A gathering of the secretive “Dialog” society, founded by technofascist Peter Thiel, will be held in Ireland from the 12-16 August at the Powerscourt Hotel in Enniskerry, as revealed by the Ditch.
Its attendees include NATO Europe commander Alexus Grynkewich, US treasury secretary Scott Bessent and Republican senator Ted Cruz, with the topics ranging from “navigating World War III”, “bringing back nuclear”, and “battlefield technologies”. Wired has reported 222 attendees in total for the upcoming event. This can be understood as a gathering of State and the offence industry, technological companies and experts, all for the benefit of Capital, an ever-increasing drive towards militarization and perpetual war. A new term, technofascism, has emerged to describe this state of affairs.
Technofascism is a term used to describe the intertwined nature of authoritarian regimes and technological progress. A contemporary theorist defines technofascism as “the collusion of large technology firms, right-wing billionaires, and tech culture with authoritarian and anti-democratic political agendas”. Palantir, also founded by Peter Thiel, is a prime example of this. Technological advancements, in the hands of the ruling class, will be used to the benefit of Capital. The surveillance technologies offered by Palantir are used by governments, such as the Zionist Entity (Israel), to murder Palestinians, as well as by the U.S government for domestic surveillance of “national security threats”, such as anti-fascist activists, communists and leftists of all types. Recently, an American court sentenced anarchists to lengthy prison sentences for anti-ICE activism, ranging from 30 to 100 years, indicating intensified suppression of anti-capitalist elements in the Western hemisphere.
Pro-Palestine organizers and other activists in Ireland are at work to put pressure on the hotel to cancel the event, with a protest already having been held on Wednesday the 28th of June 2026, with protestors storming the hotel. The protesters promised to “keep coming back” until Powerscourt ceases hosting what they described as “genocide profiteers”. The landowners, Powerscourt Estates, says it is under a legal contract which it cannot breach, while the hotel’s parent company, MHL hotels, has yet to comment.
