Minister Lawless Meets With Epstein-Linked Bill Gates To Celebrate AI
Minister For Higher Education James Lawless met with Epstein-linked Bill Gates for advice on promoting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in Ireland.
Minister For Higher Education James Lawless met with Epstein-linked Bill Gates for advice on promoting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in Ireland.
Lawless’s LinkedIn post, from yesterday, shows him posing with Gates, celebrating “Europe’s leadership in AI” in Brussels at an unspecified location.
“Europe’s leadership in AI won’t be judged solely by the technology we create, but by how broadly its benefits are felt, “ he writes.
“It was a pleasure to join Bill Gates and a distinguished group of policymakers, researchers and industry leaders in Brussels today to discuss how we can make AI work for more people, in more places,” he continued.
“We spoke about the importance of widening access to AI, supporting innovation across different languages and regions, and ensuring these technologies help address practical challenges in areas such as health, education and agriculture, “ he concludes.
The irony will not be lost on Aontacht readers that while FFG is praising AI’s advancement in precisely these sectors, it is exactly AI which is driving job cuts in the education sector, while new data centers are pushing the destruction of the environment, undoubtedly leading to damaged health and worsening agricultural production.
The integration of the technology sector with Israeli interests, militarization of technology and the push towards AI has been the subject of protests, a trend dubbed as ‘techno-fascism’, especially at the recent FFG-backed AI Summit.
Lawless’ special advisor, Harry McCann, was also present at the meeting, according to another LinkedIn post.
Just recently, the FFG government was involved in scandal around slamming the Dublin Rape Crisis Center’s “We Consent” campaign on the basis that it "wasn't in line with the views of the government".
