Gibson Hotel Quietly Cancels Genocide Tech Conference

The Gibson Hotel in Dublin was set to host a company founded by Unit 8200 Israeli soldiers on August 25th, leading to backlash and a campaign by Your Tech Their Deaths in opposition.

An email correspondence between activists and the hotel seen by Aontacht Media shows that the event is no longer going ahead. It only took 3 days for the hotel to cancel the planned event amidst public pressure. However, no public statement and no rejection of the ties with Israel was made by the hotel.

A spokesperson for LOI Fans For Palestine, the grassroots football supporters group that led the Aviva Stadium tennis balls protest against the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures between Ireland and apartheid Israel, welcomed today's knockout win. They said: "It was no surprise to see another major BDS victory today for Your Tech Their Deaths, they are unstoppable. The BDS energy across Ireland is approaching fever pitch. We've no doubt AIB will quietly pull their contract with SNYK very soon as pressure continues to mount. And our own [LOI Fans] members and supporters are currently organising approximately 20 imminent actions in five different countries in relation to the football fixtures. There will be no Israel games."

A technofascist event by the secretive company Dialog was similarly cancelled by Powerscourt Hotel after pressure in July 2026.

In June 2026, Aontacht Media reported that AIB is considering partnering with Synk, another tech company founded by Unit 8200 Israeli soldiers, leading to revelations that IDF militants run rampant in Ireland’s technology sector.
