The Kids Are Alright: Pupils Overwhelmingly Reject PSNI In School
Most students in a Catholic school in west Belfast have explicitly refused to attend a speech by the chief constable of the PSNI, Jon Boutcher. The students of the North of Ireland have understood that it is right to rebel and wrong to lick boots. May the rest of us learn from them.
Most students in a Catholic school in west Belfast have explicitly refused to attend a speech by the chief constable of the PSNI, Jon Boutcher [1]. This continues the continuing trend of the youth of Ireland in rejecting participation in the institutions of their own oppression.
All around the world, armies and police forces are becoming increasingly desperate in their search for class traitors and trying ever harder to entice the desperate youth in disadvantaged communities. In the South, maximum recruitment ages have risen dramatically [2]. The Gardaí also attempt to recruit at academic institutions, much like the PSNI or the US Armed Forces. The Occupied Six Counties, however, have an added national aspect to the oppression the community faces and a treasured history of resistance within the collective subconscious. This is why people reared in the Catholic, nationalist, and republican communities of the North are such a minor portion of the PSNI [3]
