Musician Arrested At Peaceful Demo Against US/NATO Warmongers

Activist Jimi Cullen was arrested yesterday after attending the 129th weekly protest at the U.S Embassy.  Jimi is an Irish folk singer, musician, songwriter, producer and activist who has been peacefully demonstrating at the U.S embassy for years every Wednesday from 2pm to 3pm. He was arrested after he shouted “Free Palestine!” at a procession of NATO leaders, including Alexus Grynkewich, the imperialist organization’s ‘Supreme Allied Commander’.

“I was arrested at the US Embassy for putting my body on the road in front of a convoy of vehicles that contained the Air Corps Lieutenant General Alexis Grinkowitsch, who is now also the Supreme Commander of NATO. And the convoy also contained many other, um, US military personnel and NATO personnel. I did so with a flag in my hand, and I simply shouted, 'Free Palestine,' until the Gardaí closed in and arrested me. I was then taken to Irishtown Garda Station and charged, and later released on bail with the condition that I, I'm not allowed to go near the US Embassy anymore, “ Jimi said in a video statement circulated on social media.

He says that the arrest and charges, for which he will be up in court in September, will not deter him.

“So for the next couple of weeks or possibly longer, I'm going to have to relocate my protest. I won't be finishing it. I think it's just very important that I could continue on. I'm looking at a couple of other locations to start next week, and I'll let people know in due process. If anyone should feel the need to show up at the US Embassy on Wednesdays or any other days in my absence, um, please do. I'd be absolutely delighted to see it carried on in some way, “ he notes.
