Reports on social media show that a drone carrying a petrol canister was crashed into a loyalist bonfire in East Belfast yesterday by Republican Youth, igniting a fire that destroyed the structure.

Members of the public left humorous comments under the Facebook [post](https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=1040958211787917&set=a.179134741303606) by “A United Ireland” and various social media pages, such as “Irish Republican Airforce …”, “Air force a hAon” and “UAV Kamikazeeeeees, in the skyyyy”.

The incident has not been independently verified, and no official statement has yet been issued by authorities regarding the cause of the blaze.
